2. What we collect
Your account (name, email, avatar), your workspace and its files, and the operational data the service needs to run — sync state, presence, and the trail of agent runs. We do not collect keystroke-level analytics, and the canvas contents of a private file are never read by a human.
3. How we use it
To provide and secure the service, sync your files, bill your plan, and improve Ink in aggregate. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context advertising.
4. How the agent processes your files
When you ask the agent to work, the relevant parts of the file are sent to the model provider over an encrypted channel, used to produce the answer, and not retained or used for training. Through MCP the same rule applies to the client you connect. Runs are logged in your trail — what changed, by whom, when — and you can purge that history at any time.
5. Where it lives
Your data is hosted and processed in the United States. If you use Ink from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, international transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses.
6. Who processes it for us
A short list of subprocessors by category: cloud hosting, billing, identity, and the AI model provider. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
7. Retention and deletion
Trash keeps deleted files for 30 days, then purges them for good. Closing your account deletes the workspace and its trail after the same 30-day grace, in case you change your mind. Backups roll off within 30 more days.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live — including California and other US states, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. Write to privacy@ink.design — we answer within 30 days.
9. Children
Ink is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Cookies and tracking
We use the cookies required to run the app, and no advertising trackers.
11. Changes
Material changes to this policy are announced in the changelog and by email before they apply.
